I think Buzz is actually kind of great for a colpue of reasons: it caters to users who may or may not have been terribly comfortable sharing their thoughts/musings publicly and it offers more of a personal interaction than say twitter. I know many a people who like to only share certain threads with a few friends nothing dissimilar to what already occurs in a number of emails. But now these threads are much easier to follow as content can be housed in the thread (no need to jump around to other links, or even download photos). Its also very convenient placement, unlike wave, where I don't have to navigate elsewhere to see what's going on (**more thoughts on wave at the end**).And I think buzz has found a good place in between twitter and facebook. The way facebook had the mini-feed that incessantly updated with trivial stuff that I may or may not have wanted to clutter my home page, is actually what I like about buzz. I didn't like it on facebook purely because I wasn't used to it before (seeing as how it is fairly recent), and didn't really care to see it constantly updating. I like buzz, because I can be connected to many close friends in the same way and essentially get a snapshot of what's going on in their life (photos), on their mind (status), and what they choose to show me (privacy). I think that it makes for a more organic experience. Twitter will still exist, but I think it would be used more to follow artists, magazines, companies, and the like moving further away from the personal aspect.I think buzz is pretty cool and thus far, I haven't seen to many issues with privacy. If I don't want my email out there, I can just make my profile private, and keep in contact purely with the people I choose to. And thus far, I haven't encountered any problems. And as far as wave, I hope Google keeps up with it. I think I saw wave as buzz before buzz was released. Now I actually see wave as being the corporate version where documents and files are shared, edited, and discussed. I don't quite know how it will become more useful. It's still bulky and not terribly as effective as I envisioned but for bloggers (at least), its definitely a nice way to manage multiple sites. I don't think Google quite knows what to do with wave it may just collect dust. I'm not holding my breath.
